It was great while it lasted. Your efforts are much appreciated. I was particularly exciting to find the first three Ethnic Heritage Ensemble records here. Thanks!!!!
Thanks for the music, words and generosity of time, Pablo. And if you'll allow me just to add : I'm a few weeks away from my first year of blogging. I've had many interesting discussions and made some true friends over the last year, and many of those are people who've discovered my stuff later in that year. So a little nudge from here towards the possibility of leaving these February-April treasures for other interesting conversations to find their way to you over time. But most of all, thanks.
Just found this site a little while ago. Thanks so much for all the hard work that went into posting this rare music. There is simply too much to get to. It was great to hear the Booker Ervin again and the rare Lacy and Ethnic Heritage, etc. I'm sure all the fans (including me) of this blog would appreciate if the links could stay a few days. Regardless big big thanks for resurrecting so many beautiful sounds.
Great getting to know your collectibles, Pablo. Let's keep our connection going on the side. Life would sure be empty without this fantastic music. I salute the excellent job you did here.
Pablo - this site has been a wonderful source of unusual music. Thank you so much for your dedication and generosity providing us all with such wonderful sounds
Thank you for all the wonderful shares. Your blog has truly been a delight. I appreciate all you've done for this community, and your hard work and great musical taste will be missed!
Thanks Pablo for the constant delight and ear opening experiences of you posts. it has been a great pleasure you have provided us with. best, take good care A
Sorry to see you go from this place, but delighted that you may still share at Inconstant Sol. You'll be most welcome.
I must thank you for all the music you have shared here. You've filled many holes in my collection, and introduced me to some wonderful records. Do stay in touch.
sad news, but anyway, in a short period you shared so beautiful music and we all appreciate your efforts. i also have a last requirement: would you leave the links up a little longer? thanks best wishes
Thanks for taking all the trouble, Pablo. You've put up some remarkable gems I'd never heard of, posted some 'collection fills' of recordings I never managed to pick up, & allowed replacement of some in-poor-shape, treasured vinyl.
Let me add to the thanks, and also the requests to leave the material up. It takes a while to go through a treasure trove such as this. The rapidshare links will go away if no one accesses them in 90 days; why not allow them to die a natural death? Your blog, your links, so your choice - but in any event, thanks regardless.
Pablo, I'll never forget Clifford [:-) thank you for some of the treasures you brought in this short span of time, a few highlites were the early Ethnic's and some Mal Waldron! be good & be safe. Hopefully will be hearing from you over at Inconstant Sol! peace, E-mile
thanks pablo. i have been a regular visitor here and loved much of the wonderful music. thank you for your generosity.
i am not skilled to load my vinyl up myself to return the favor - but some of it has been loaded by 'sotise' at inconstant sol and nine grey chairs. I hope you have enjoyed some of these.....
I'd like to echo the others in expressing my gratitude for the fine and abundant selections you've made available here. We'll be happy to host you at Inconstant Sol should you wish to share more golden nuggets.
I concur with others in keeping the links active until they lapse by themselves. Given the magnitude of the posts, I'm sure I'm not the only having to play catch-up at the last minute.
You'll be missed as you can see, Pablo. I will miss you a lot, most of the records you uploaded were part of my youth either I had them or missed them, so a visit to your site was always rewarding and exciting. Thank you for your dedication, all the best!
Pablo, Thank you so much for such good and rare music (so many great music, I am thinking specially of the Archie Shepp/Bill Dixon quartet). Take care Pablo!
Thank you, Pablo. I have enjoyed stopping by and listening. Thanks, too, for the Sun Ra.
(In the inward side of the End)
In the inward side of the End Are the things which are based Upon the foundations of the Past. On the onward side of the Never-No-End Are the things which are based Upon the potentials of the ontology of the Future That has no connection to the End Of the Once-upon-a-time-Eternity Of the Past that was. It's After the End of the World! Don't you know that yet?
Please, please, please, leave your links alive till they go: I've just found your blog & it's a true cornucopia of never heard delights. Cecil in Stuttgart, Vinny Golia's, Julius, Marion, Archie & so many forgotten heroes… My connection is pretty slow, so it's gonna take me some time to unwrap those marvels from the outer space. Anyway thousands of thanks for your sharing. Enlightening.
Another hopeful vote for leaving the links up for a bit longer. I only recently found this blog and Rapidshare can be hellishly slow at times.
But whatever you do, I'd like to thank you for ripping this stuff at all. There's a lot of interesting stuff here that I might not otherwise have found.
pablo: thanks for your generosity, i opened up my ears to great music because of your posts. my favourites: marvin hannibal, david murray, vinny golia, max roach best wishes
just discovered the great marty krystal in the 'aurora' album, the ghosts version is terrific, thanks for this. does anyone know of other recordings with him? (appart of neidlinger's ravenna)
I'm really sorry to see you go my friend - There are some important things that I've gotten from you that I will eventually have to re-post at a later date to keep them circulating - thanks in particular for the Jim Pepper stuff, but just thanks - stop by the Krypt now and then and leave a hello or use the email
I am planning a second coming at Inconstant Sol where I have been invited to be a poster. I was planning on transferring my top 10 downloads to their site. I started with Le Sony'r Ra and New Steps. Anybody want to guess what the top downloads were? Stay tuned to Inconstant Sol to see them rolling out.
Pablo, though I've sampled some of your wonderful contributions elsewhere, I was late to discover this little treasure island (and am still frantically downloading ... hope it stays up a little longer)
hard to guess what the top picks were because there are so many zingers here!!
Still digging into those gems you've so generously uploaded, & I really dig what I find. Oh man, those schoof, jemeel, smoker, stuart, komeda, jay oliver & so on… You definitely make me feel humble & I just scrapped the tip of the iceberg! Thx for leaving us some more time.
Pablo, I've known about your blog for a while, but am only just starting to check out what you've got. I'm amazed at all the "deep catalogue" offerings and want to thank you for taking the time to bring so much unjustly forgotten music to light once more.
Be well - am looking forward to your posts at Inconstant Sol!
And go out on a high note.. Excellent! Many thanks for the rips you did, that I didn't have, and hadn't heard - which were many. Mesdames et messieurs.. - give the drummer some...
thank you from the bottom of my heart, you've introduced me to a great many new artists, and some wonderful performances from some artists i've appreciated for a long time, but whose work i knew from only a few examples. a million million thanks

I agree with hideo, it is a tough choice. But at a push my money would be on the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble? They certainly sent my pulse pumping.
